You Know How Pgi Removed Knockdown Because It Was Broken And Looked Unprofessional?

Since knockdowns and repair and rearm were removed for the interests of the game light mechs should also be removed.
I recall too that engines were nerfed due to the poor netcoding. Will there ever be a return of the Standard/XL400?
There would have to be since most light clan mechs have a base speed of 150kph. I believe the Firemoth is 180kph with a 218kph speed with MASC.

Removing collisions has buffed light mechs to the point where I believe they are breaking the game for more people than collisions ever did.

BAHAH!
This gave me a laugh this evening.
Please continue.
The only thing keeping lights in check was the fact that they had to pay attention to their surroundings and others mechs were kept from running right up into other mechs face for fear of getting knocked over.
All this running up and hugging your opponent is beyond terrible and creates stupid situations.

It most definitely is trollish hyperbole, but it does indeed make a lot of sense.
Where do you draw the line when you take liberties with the game for its own sake?
If "for the sake of the game" is the rationale for doing whatever the hell you want with the Battletech universe, then why bother basing the game off of Battletech in the first place? It's a very broad, umbrella phrase to excuse a lot of outrageous decisions (AHEM - ECM).
Why not pull a Hawken, instead, and start the creative part from scratch (or at least, base it off of something and call it original)? That way you can do whatever the **** you want and have a legitimate claim to "I can do whatever the **** I want with this IP, because the IP is mine."

i think people are going to continue supporting the game but not because a fun game doesn't die, moreso that the fun of these forums doesn't die.
Do you think it's possible that one day the active forums users online will exceed active players in game? lol~

Is this possible? I can't say.
People are afraid of Dragon Bowling, but honestly I was only ever on the receiving end once and I played a lot in CB.
People got sick of how stupid it was and moved on.
I can't say the same thing for ECM.
ECM is the closest thing to a Rogue Stun Lock build we'll get in this game and people are loving it.
Next we'll have the ability to buff and debuff our friends and enemies!
Can't wait!

I support this, better balancing decision than anything PGI ever came up with.

If this game wasn't MW/BT labeled, it would already be dead.

If ECM ever gets balanced, then the raidboss comes back. Now that I think about it, I'm kind of ok with that; streakcat raidboss was better than the 3L/D-DC combination now...

Right, and my overarching point here is that straying too far away from the source material - BT - and going in radical directions (again, ECM, what a **** up) is hubris, and it only serves to work against you in the end.
